Moment of truth

This modern take on a noir was shot with a team of one and relied heavily on color correction & grading to relight, and separate the subjects from their surroundings. I fine-tuned contrast curves, exposure masking, and noise reduction techniques to bend the light to fit traditional noir genre looks, only to flood the frame with color at the end. This shift form black and white to color mirrored the protagonist’s journey from following her own societal roles to a new beginning.
